Cliff Clavin could have been Chinese

cliff.gifFrom Xinhua:

A recent survey by a research institute for the elderly said around 30 percent Chinese adults nowadays live with their parents, and some of them even believed that they are born to depend on their parents and that they have a duty to shoulder their children's lives.

The survey indicated that people who lived off of their parents can be divided into six groups. The first is college graduates who held high expectation on their jobs. They will easily abandon their job once they get unsatisfied with the job. The second is lazy young men who always try to find excuses to work as little as possible. The third group dreams of start-ups and is not willing to work under the leadership of others. The fourth is job-hoppers.The fifth is laid-off young workers who don't want to work as they always compare the present job with the former one. The last group are less educated young people who can only sell their physical labor.

The story said experts blamed China's one-child policy for creating a generation of slackers who "were overindulged and got used to getting what they want from their parents." This is quite a serious problem for a rapidly graying country with an undeveloped social security system.

At least Clavin had a job.

Who the hell is Cliff Clavin?
