<description>&lt;p&gt;When I first got to Shanghai and was clueless about clothes shopping, I was pretty satisfied to find a good selection of quality unbranded clothing at the Japanese chain-store Uniqlo.  Dubbed &quot;low price&quot; in Japan, they&apos;re relatively pricey in Shanghai; but then again, you get what you pay for.  I even made a trip with the express purpose of replacing the umbrella I got there after my packpack was stolen; the water-proofing on this thing is amazing.

Uniqlo has several location in Shanghai; my prefered ones are the Huaihai Rd location (Hong Kong something-or-other Center) by the Huangpi Rd metro stop, and the one in the Nanfang Shangcheng near the Lianghua Rd metro stop.

I&apos;m not affiliated with Uniqlo in any way, just a satisfied customer.

That said, I&apos;ll definitely check out Muji sometime. I found a post by a Chinese blogger on the Muji opening:
