My Mom in the USA gave me the same speech on the phone the other night. I had no idea what she was talking about at first. After she explained, I commented that living in China I have many opportunities to see live pandas, and was not very interested. Truth be told I have never made the trip out to the Shanghai zoo. We ended the conversation with a promise that the next time she is out here we would visit a panda preserve in Szechuan.
