Even better than the real thing?
According to this report (in Chinese), Shanghai's first official Coca-Cola retail store opened its doors on September 9. The report states that the location is somewhere on Nanjing Xi Lu -- and it's great detailed reporting like that that we here at Shanghaiist are trying to emulate, thus we don't have an address for you either. (Hey, readers ... any help?) The store sells all kinds of Coca-Cola related products, such as clothes and weird useless plastic things that have the logo on them. The report also proudly states that since this is the only official Coke stores outside the US and Japan, that this marks the first inroads the soft drink giant has made into the Asia-Pacific region. Now Shanghaiist is no geography expert, but somehow there seems to be a contradiction contained in those last two sentences ...
If you get blisters on your feet from wandering around Nanjing Lu looking for your little (200 square meters) piece of glinty red and fizzy heaven -- serves you right for wearing Pepsi shoes -- then let your fingers do the walking and check out this online store from Taobao.com, where you can buy assorted Coca-Cola products.
