Went to the flower market today and, for all those of you who wants to pay a last visit, it is still open and funtioning until next Wednesday. Apparently they are all moving to the new flower market that will open next week at Caojiadu (near Changshou Rd. and Wanhangdu Rd.). Most of them had the business cards already printed with the new address. So everything is not lost.

Your story was on "Human Flowers" website. Somehow I got there by misspelling Shanghiist. I just couldn't seem to remember all the vowels. Could it be that I'm not the only American that can't spell.

This is a real shame. It seems that the flower stalls will be moved into a row of renovated shops on the west side of Shaanxi Nan Lu, ugly low-rises which would ideally have been torn down. And what will happen to the historical building, which was originally the French canidrome? Sacrificed on the altar of Kenny G. Lucky Shanghai.
