Looks like he is staying at the Four Seasons:

TOM Cruise has arrived in Shanghai, three days ahead of schedule, local newspapers reported.

The Hollywood movie star, in China for the first time to film scenes for his new movie, “Mission Impossible III,” is staying at the Four Seasons Hotel, according to the reports.

Cruise was keen to have a look at Shanghai, so he planned to take two days to walk on the city’s streets instead of hiding in a vehicle. The star walked around the hotel Sunday evening, said the Shanghai Morning Post.

Cruise was recognized as soon as he stepped out of the hotel. The star was calm and greeted to people politely, but his bodyguards were nervous.

Cruise is expected to be in town for 10 days at least, the Oriental Morning Post said today.

The first scene for the movie will be shot at Xitang, an ancient water town in Zhejiang Province neighboring Shanghai. The water town has been closed, as sets are built for filming. Shooting will take place there on Friday and Sunday.

The super star will then move to Nanjing Road in Shanghai for the second scene.

The third installment of the “Mission Impossible” series is scheduled to be released in May. The first two grossed about US$395 million in North America.

I really really wish it would be Zhang Zi Yi. Because I love her. But it would also be a cool pairing. And I would like to see her save him rather than the other way around. Although if I'm wishing for stuff, I would like to be her on-call boy-toy. Did I take that too far?
