'Play healthily and don't become addicted to the Internet'

The_More_You_Know.jpgShanghaiist has always wondered who writes the pearls of wisdom that appear inside fortune cookies, that "Chinese" staple we have yet to see in China. Now we know -- it's the Shanghai Women's Federation. As you all know we are in the middle of Shanghai's Seventh Family Education Week, and to signify the event the Women's Federation has come up with 12 slogans "that families should follow to improve education at home." Without further ado, here they are:

1. Study hard and enjoy playing

2. Appreciate every innovative idea

3. Learn more about safety and cherish life

4. Love sports and labor

5. Be reliable and ready to help

6. Eat balanced meals and get sufficient sleep

7. Play healthily and don't become addicted to the Internet

8. Be economic and don't pursue luxuries

9. Value privacy and communication

10. Accept fashion and value culture

11. Have ambition and know appreciation

12. Boys and girls make good friends

Gospel.
