Thanksgiving is Nov. 24 — I know some Shanghai hotels are holding buffet dinners (usually about 300 kuai) but where else can we get down with some turkey? Anything particularly cool or delicious or weird (in a good way)? — RS, Shanghai
Shanghaiist is tired and weak — even more than usual — because we are fasting for tomorrow’s feast (we are doing the all-you-can-eat-and-drink deal at the Hongqiao Marriott for RMB 330). Luckily, John at Sinosplice kind of answered your question earlier today. He directed readers to listings at Smart Shanghai and Shanghai Expat. Not sure if the offerings listed there are weird enough for you — if not, we could have our ayi cook for you. Now that would be an adventure.
Many of these dinners are likely booked up, so start your calling now.
