Liu Xiang. Yes, very well spotted.

Some say a new Jesse Owens is needed for Beijing.

    Some might be well right.

This whole Liu Xiang thing does NOT smell good.

Tell you what: a wait face in China will be a liability instead of an asset as soon as the Olympics in 2008 are won by our hosts.

By then we will be all experiencing the great wonders of deflation (thanks my dear industrial-over-capacity-induced-by-irresponsable-bankers), an appreciated RMB (and hence fall in investment), and the list goes on.

Being a laowai will be unpopular by then some say.

Cixi will definitely be silently smilling in her tomb, remembering the great days of 1900.

    To be continued...
