It also attracted the attention of the highly-trafficked USA Today website, which has much to do with its top ranking here. This story continues to get regular hits via Former Child Star Central.

2. You Bastards! Wikipedia inaccessible in Shanghai
This post was popular among the techies, and there are quite a few of them out on the world wide web. A major British newspaper also linked to it -- and spelled Shanghaiist with one i. Maybe that is the British spelling? (Still having trouble accessing Wikipedia? Try this.)

3. Fourteen ways to die in Shanghai
Frankly, we expected this excellent post by Danwei's Joel Martinsen to top this list. With linkage from Boing Boing, Metafilter and MSNBC, we're not sure how it didn't.

4. Babies for sale on eBay China
We're hoping this wasn't so popular because people actually were looking to buy Chinese babies on eBay. But, then again, they can be really, really cute.
