Low emission cars soon to be welcome in China
You might want to go out and invest in Chery. China is about to lift its ban on small, low emission automobiles. Evidently small cars are had been restricted in 84 Chinese cities because of "noise and air pollution, poor safety and unattractive appearance." Um ...
So, it seems like they realized how stupid that was. Now, the National Development and Reform Commission is suggesting that parking fees for small cars should be lower, they should be used as taxis and government officials should lead the way by using low emission cars for their personal use. Good luck on that one.
The small car restrictions should be lifted March 1.
