Extra! Extra! Mobile phones and environmentally friendly towns

  • How many towns in China were labeled "environmentally friendly" in 2005? Would you believe 99? Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shandong provinces are at the top of the list, each having 37, 14 and 13 towns earning the honor, respectively. (Maybe these are the towns that have figured out how to export their pollution to Los Angeles.)
