The Leaning Tower of ... Shanghai?

Yep, we have one. And it even leans more than the one in Pisa. But very few people know about it. And even fewer visit it. Only 2,100 people made the trek to Huzhu Baoguang Tower during Spring Festival -- and, in China, 2,100 is statistically zero. The reason? No one knows how to get to the tower, located in Tianma Mountain Park in Songjiang District which, 40 kilometers (the story says "kilograms") from city center, might as well be in Anhui province. It's not a fun commute.

This story, however, says the park is part of Sheshan State Forest Park (佘山国家森林公园), and daily buses to the area can be caught at Shanghai Stadium. It also says you will be "amazed" by the leaning Pagoda for Protecting Pearls -- "one of the wonders in Shanghai's suburbs." The tower was built more than 900 years ago, but it didn't start leaning until the late 1800s, when rumors of a hidden treasure prompted people to dig on one side of its base.

The tower is 20 meters tall, leans at 6.85 degrees and admission is only 10 kuai.
