I find it irritating that people can make patronizing generalizations such as that made by the Nanjing U prof in your "unisex" blurb, without facing criticism themselves. Mainstream media rarely (never?) makes similar statements about men, expressing "concern" about the collective male mental state. I guess men are too complex and self-sufficient to be lumped into a neat, quantifiable unit. People is people.
