Plastic surgery docs not qualified to slice and dice

plastica.jpgSeems like our weekend plans have taken a nose dive after we found out that the men who would be drugging us and then cutting up our ugly faces aren't actually qualified to do it.

None of the surgeons at Shanghai's private plastic surgery clinics are professionally qualified, a cosmetic surgeon of 20 years' standing told Interfax.

Fan Zhihong, director of Renji Plastic Surgery Center, made his claims in the light of a survey by the privately owned Tianda Plastic Surgery Hospital in Shanghai, which said about 85 percent of its patients came to have cosmetic surgery repairs, after botched operations elsewhere.

Another weekend spent crying softly into the mirror then. Such is life.
