Zhang Ziyi is hot. Native americans have a saying, point one finger, ten fingers point back at you. What about Asia's war on girls through the killing of literally millions of baby girls and the rampant plastic surgery fueled by the shame of being....Chinese looking. Zhang Ziyi looks Chinese. Maybe that's why her critics hate her so much. They hate themselves. China's self loathing of both their race and their women is evident to the entire world. Whatever.

Hong Kong is one of the most superficial place I have ever seen. Sh8t, First it was everything japanese, now its everthing Korean - HK women going to SK to get cosmetic surgery to look more korean - WTF, and as a society dare to criticize NATRUALLY beautiful - desired by everyone - Zhang Ziyi. I am a Chinese American - I am definately not white wash - I am proud to be Chinese and American, and Zhang Ziyi and the current generation of Mainland Chinese directors, are some of the reason that inspires the Asian American drive to create our own culture in the US - not the garbage that comes out of Hong Kong. (Kung Fu hustle was funny, but not that funny).

Observation 1 : Zhang is a terrible actress with not one shred of talent. Observation 2: Zhang is a vulgar and obnoxious personality off screen. She is not deliberately brazen or playfully cheeky, but simply and regrettably inadequate as a human being. Observation 3: the reason that Zhang is hated by most ethnic Chinese yet idolized by some young Western males who are quick with a soapy hand is a matter of familiarity AND condescension. Where Chinese recognize in Zhang the cheap cheers and rubbery sex appeal of a seasoned "hair mistress" around the corner, your naughty-boy Westerners see the "foxy", "randy" and "in-heat" Far-East exotica that grandpas have told them about, with chuckling relish and a camaraderie bonus of a boner. "Zhang Ziyi is a talented actress who is a gorgeous and honest celebrity"......please, Nick, people are eating here. Pray tell me where, if "admittedly not showing it in Memoirs of a Geisha", shall we go and see sparkles of Zhang's talent? I am begging you, please......

I don't think HK media is just targeting Zhang, Hong Kong media is famous for using dirty tactics against all celebrities. One of the magazines reported that Edison Chen's father was gay just because a photo was taken that a guy was trying to catch a mosquito next to his father.

Zhang's accent is indeed pretty bad... But it can't be helped. She's Chinese, not American or European. On the other hand, Zhang Zi Yi does have a pretty bad relationship with the general Chinese media.

Married couples all need their "if I had a chance would you let me do her" celebrity. Honestly speaking, my wife is better looking than Zhang Ziyi. I would put up a pic of her but for privacy.
