i was being facetious, which is my usual m.o.--i have a love/hate relationship with boonna. it was near my former place and it itself is a good place for food, coffee, cigarettes, wireless--all the good stuff--but the fact that there were so many hipsters (or whatever you want to call em), esp. those in related fields (media, photography) that i found myself eavesdropping on too many conversations, trying to find out how people make money (an eternal mystery me), or if they have all the cool jobs and career that i wish i had in order to catapult myself out of my bottom-dweller status into the world of expat bourgeois dignity. unfortunately, my hearing is not so good. 2dogs, if you're interested though, boonna puts up photography, and the boss is willing to put up new stuff...i think i will do it in the near future.

Hmmm...mess up? It is still the same feeling/price level as for 2 years ago. At least according to my memory. I do not mind the "spread" of BOONNA at all, but maybe I am one of the clueless expats? I am no hipster for sure though...ha ha ha

Boonna 2? egads, the hipsters are overrunning Shanghai. Why do these clueless expats have to go around messing up a good thing? I was into Boonna before Boonna hit the big time, and now everyone's jumping on the bandwagon. Well, that's OK, because since all the rents are inflated and crazy in most of the city, i'm going to start my own low rent hipster enclave somewhere in Qing pu.
