Help save Shanghai's old buildings flag football season!

flagfootball.jpgShanghaiist received a distressed email from a reader named Tiffany. She writes:

It may be baseball season, but we're looking for some people to play American flag football. We still need a couple more team members for our group and the organizer, ASAS, needs a few additional teams to sign up or they'll cancel the season!

Help save the flag football season! That link has all the info you need to sign up with ASAS (which stands for "Active Sports Active Social.")

So, let's get this straight: A diner is opening right down the street from our apartment, Freelance says they will be showing American college sports live on television, and now flag football? Is the US plotting an invasion while Hu Jintao is off eating burgers with President Bush? Or has the invasion already occurred?

Next you'll tell us there's a dodgeball league in town. Oh shit ... we've got that, too.

Take cover, everyone.

Wondering "What the hell is flag football?" This should help you out. Yes, we wear flags. Deal with it. It's fun.

Hmm. If these girls are playing, I'd want to tackle them...

Actually, there are co-ed and men's teams. Unfortunately for Rob, the co-ed teams are full, but they still need a couple of men's teams!

Thanks for posting, Dan!
