I think jac was right on spot, sorry I didn't mention Dr. Gunther Von Hagen's name in the post. I also think this exhibition was actually more operated by local authorities after its first exhibition in Beijing.

actually this guy is a dutch pathologist (gunther van den hagen)who has an corpse factory in dalian cause he is short of volunteering european bodies....

It's a German thing to be more precise. Like Lin Side mentioned it was Dr. Gunther Von Hagen who invented this technology called 'plastination' about 29 years ago in 1977. His "Koerperwelten" (German for "bodyworlds") exhibitions had caused quite a sensation in Europe. Regarding this Dalian thing - it might be connected to him, as it is a known fact that he 'sources' in China. A couple of years ago he built a factory somewhere in China. Maybe it's the same factory.

This isnt a Chinese thing. Check out http://www.bodyworlds.com Gunther Von Hagan has been doing it for years. It is his original technique that first produced plastinated bodies. This may be a copycat or even just one of his labs as he does this all over the world; oddly enough, often from Central Asia.
