Ryan was talking about where to get the best cocktails in Shanghai. And he told you that. He did not talk about where he likes to drink in Shanghai, and he did not talk about what "cool new joints" there are in the city. So he did not tell you that.

Shanghaiist sure likes to drink at obvious locations. Wish you'd given us news of cool new joints instead of typical laowai attractions. Will check out Monsoon sometime soon tho.

Monsoon opening was yesterday, went there and had a couple of drinks, a pink cocktail which i don't know its name was pretty tasty. Another baileysmilk look drink taste like syrup though. The interior decor was amazing.

It's a trick article - there are no good cocktails made in Shanghai. Sweet fruity vodka-based drinks don't really count, unless you're in a sorority.

Yes! God I am with you on the Manifesto Lychee Cosmo. Have often woken up in the middle of the night crying its name. You think I'm joking... Foolish of you. It is by essence the perfect chick cocktail. Taste of Candy overides the taste of vodka which gets us ladies pretty "relaxed" (and high on sugar) by drink number.... 1 and half. Can be great on dates, or you know...very very bad. Either way, we always come back for more. Strawberry Fizz at 239 is pretty decent too - but NOTHING compares to the Lychee cosmo. Damn you Shanghaiist! Now I have to go tonight.
