Graffiti in Shanghai

The images on the Shanghai-based Scribble Graffiti site didn't blow us away at first, and then we read something that made us a little less critical -- the artists were born in the early- to mid-90s. The site doesn't have much in terms of art work, but its the first website we have come across that deals with street art in Shanghai (we're sure there must be others out there ... tell us about them in the comments). We don't know if the Scribble kids are Shanghainese or even if they are Chinese -- the site is in English (an almost unreadable font) -- but at least one has family in New Zealand. Here is how they describe themselves (we love how they came up with their pseudonyms):
The place - Slin and dism normaly go to a place which we call the construction site which is where we practice graffiti daily, the place is not a construction site but it is a place that looks like some one knocked a building over and left it there

Slin - slin is a 13 year old, that like graffiti and goes pieceing daily with his friend dism and was born in New Zealand , Auckland he chose the name slin because he found s was one of his stronger letters and he chose the n because he was also good at n's he chose the i because he thought you could be creative with an eye

Dism - dism is a 13 year old, that likes graffiti and goes piecing almost daily with slin and also goes to the construction site, he chose his piece because he likes the letter d and s and he combined them to make dism

And here is what they have to say about Shanghai's spray paint selection:

Here in shanghai china we can only buy the cheapest most crap qaulity cans to do graffiti with which are susposed to be used for painting things but not the graffiti and not only are they used for painting things but their all diferent some cans are for painting cars others toys and others for tables they have more water than paint in them that is why they are extremely dribbly and the paint often changes thickness randomly, and stop every now and again to be followed by a spurt of paint

Would someone please bring these kids some decent cans?
