hey neil, good seeing you tonight. it's strange but i always thought that the origins of zongzi had to do with the fact that the villagers threw rice into the river so that the fish and shrimp wouldn't eat qu yuan's body (i'm not joking...does that sound familiar or am i getting this mixed up with another chinese story?) anyways...great post. :)
