hellokitty.jpgSo what new invention will soon be hitting the streets? Will it be innovative? Intelligent? Thought-provoking?

Fans of Hello Kitty can buy the first Chinese-style Kitty next month, which embodies different elements of cities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou, Oriental Morning Post reported today.

The new Kitty dolls is designed after seven mainland folkways: visiting the Yu Garden and selling soup dumplings, carrying a hairy crab on head, selling Beijing roasted duck, wearing clothes like “snake woman” Bai Suzhen and ancient hero Yue Fei, according to Hangzhou Kawayi Ka Tong Yi Shu Co., the designer.

Well, it certainly is good to know that there will be even more Hello Kitty dolls to choose from! Actually, I'm sure those styles will be a hit with collectors. If you're in China, you should scoop some up and hit eBay...

uff, don't quite understand why some girls are so crazy about hello kitty, my friend has been trying really hard to get me carry the "authentic" hello kitty phone string she bought for me in Japan for a long time... seriously the kitty is really not my kind of cat.

can't get enough of hello kitty? Check out this car picture me and my gf took somewhere in Shanghai.

Whew. My youngest daughter just recently got over her "Hello Kitty" phase. Man I hate 'em (the Hello Kitty stuff, not my kids.)
