The wonderful and great things awaiting Americans -- no, the world! -- since the U.S. government's murder of Al Qaeda leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi have begun! We got this email from American Citizen Services an hour ago:
WARDEN NOTICE: Terrorist Threat against U.S. Interests in China June 9, 2006The United States Government has received unconfirmed information of a possible terrorist threat against U.S. interests in China, especially in the cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. This threat also may exist for places where Americans are known to congregate or visit, including clubs, restaurants, places of worship, schools or outdoor recreation events.
American citizens in China are advised to be aware of their surroundings and remain alert to possible threats.
Shanghaiist is currently very alert (damn jetlag) in Miami, where we suppose we are safe (unless, of course, we wear our USA Soccer shirt at the local Brazilian bar during today's World Cup matches).

Thanks Dan.
