i just got back from wuhan researching/writing a piece on the punk scene there. pretty cool stuff.

the scene's epicenter is the VOX BAR: www.myspace.com/voxbar

they have shows more than once a week.

for all y'all in shanghai, I seriously recommend that you come check out wuhan's flagship act SMZB on saturday night.

however, before you pack up and move, it's worthwhile to know that there are several problems with wuhan, including

1)it is way too hot, even hotter than shanghai
2)it is way too big. ("wuhan" is the combination of three former cities.) from the center of town to the university district takes an hour.
3)eating at its famous night markets will leave even the hardy gasping for pain
