Mint (website still under construction) has it's detractors, those who feel like they would prefer something that makes them feel a bit more
exclusive, but from the weekend's evidence, the little green building is still doing everything that it is supposed to. If you arrive before midnight then you'll have to wait a while before it heats up, but we think it's worth it. The excellent Swedish DJ
Mankz played on Friday and was that good that after
Germany beat Sweden 2-0 on Saturday night, there was an easy answer to the question of "so where shall we go now?". An unpretentious crowd and great house music. Entry was 50 RMB which included a drink.
Shanghaiist receives no benefit (financial or other) for reviewing any establishment in the city. If we think a place is doing something well, we'll say so.
No benefits received for your wonderful review of a very cool and still happening place, but i hope they buy you a drink anyhow! :)
The music was gift enough. Although a drink wouldn't hurt! (especially if it is served by Joyce the Hot Waitress)
People don't go to Mint to be seen, they go to dance, and that's what keeps it going and going.
