Shanghaiist reported about the My Hero show recently and not so recently, and so here we are again, bringing you periodic reports from the frontlines.
The Shanghai contestants were once 10 and are now five. A couple of interesting things to note here: Back in April, we told you about contestant Song Xiaobo, who is deaf-mute, and it seems that throughout the contests, he’s been doing something far more challenging than being androgynous (we refer to Super Voice Girl Li Yuchun) — he’s been singing using sign language.
This report (in Chinese) details who made it and who didn’t. One of those is the German Gaoshan (高山）who is, as his name suggests, tall — 2.02 meters, though hardly a match for Yao Ming, as this report suggests. We don’t know what his real name is, but he lives in Shanghai and works for Bayer. You can see a picture of him here and here. All of this makes us almost wish we watched the show. Almost.
