How’s that an “escape” from Shanghai you ask? Good question. And a “captivating jungle experience” in a freaking mall? Point taken. Alright, there is still the miniature golf part, which is the real/only reason why we’re telling you about this place.
Shanghaiist loves miniature golf and we remember fondly our exploits playing putt-putt in our high school years. Lucky Green’s website tells us that the course is “filled with undulating hills, banked shots, bridges and other obstacles”, but and artist’s rendition (see above) from that same site shows nothing of the sort, and the photos that do exist don’t look like they were taken inside a mall in Shanghai, so we’d temper our expectations. While we don’t know how much a round costs, the website does say that college kids get a discount(with valid ID) and pay only 25 kuai, so the regular price shouldn’t be too far above that mark.
Luck Greens also features an indoor driving
Shanghaiist just might check it out this weekend, and if all goes well, a Lucky Greens Happy Hour isn’t out of the question. But can indoor miniature golf be any fun? (Or is the sixth floor the roof?)
Lucky Greens is located on the sixth floor of the Cloud 9 Mall, 1018 Changning Lu, reachable by metro lines 2, 3, 4. Paid parking is availabe. Email: [email protected]
