On the other end of the social/location/ticket-price spectrum, Cold Fairyland continued to remind us why they’re still one of the top shows to catch in town. Playing in a stifling AC-less YuYinTang for the better part of 2 hours, this Eastern-classic-meets-Western-rock cluster kicked off the first (and, erm, only, as far as we know) show of their Magic Blue Tour.
Other underground goss?
- Banana Monkey was said to have played a good set at Shuffle.
- While not underground, the show-you-can’t-get-away-from, a few tags might help our Google ranking: Black Eyed Peas, Shanghai, China (a few tickets still left).
- We also just got wind of destined-to-be-well-known Jackson Black leaving town? He didn’t mention anything at last weekend’s party at “The Penthouse”, but then again, we were off our head on Amaretto.
- We’ll knock out the upcoming shows for this weekend in a few days.
