GigShanghai: Hawaiian death metal, cAntipop and Black heads back

If diversity is what you want, then it’s what you get: This week's show covers everything from record-breaking punks to we-still-can’t-believe-they’re-unsigned-seeing-how-they’re-hot-and-can-play Canto-rockers. It’s also a week of workshops, with The Lab putting on an Ableton demo and a singer/songwriter comes over from the States to teach people how to … erm, sing and songwrite. B6 drops by to bid a big name in town farewell. More you want? How about a Black Eyed Peas (playing tonight) remix featuring Huang Jianxiang? Wicked, we know. Damn near makes us want to cut off our own special parts. If that's not enough, we launch our Chinese version of the show -- along with trying our hand at video (see below).

Show goes as below:

17 – “Everyone is talking about Akufen’s show being interrupted by DJ PJ…”
46 – “Just in case you’ve been oblivious…”
54Black Eyed Peas music clip (GigShanghai remix)
17 – “The Stones started off as a cover band…the Beatles (as well)…”
47 – “There’s still bad blood. So I took over (managing)…”
03 – Crystal Butterfly music clip
33 – “This weekend you all have something going at The Lab, right?”
55 – “This is going to be his (Jackson Black) last performance in Shanghai?”
37 – Jackson Black clip
10 – “B6, this is called what – Micro Lab?”
21 – “They set a record…in Beijing.”
52The Believers music clip
40 – “For those that don’t know -- what was the Midi Festival?”
20 – “…and found out it was death metal ... from Hawaii?”
328MM Overdose music clip
55 – “He puts on this singer/songwriter workshop…”
30 – Shanghaiist Pick of the Week: Brian Seymour music clip
08 – “When I talked to them…they stressed they weren’t Cantopop…"
26 – Unsigned Spotlight: So What music clip
28 – Show wrap up and weekend preview

Below is a very pathetic attempt at GigTV, but hopefully will make those that haven't seen Cold Fairyland or been to Yuyintang realize what they've been missing.
