  • An asexual marriage website has recently garnered a lot of attention. The site targets those who have lost their sexual abilities, are interested in unconventional marriages, or are homosexuals looking for member of the opposite sex to "marry."
  • Hannah Pendleton and other adoptees are returning to their native country -- China -- on the Chinese government's dime.
  • On the 33rd anniversary of Bruce Lee's death, Lee's family has announced that they will supervise the making of a film about the late martial arts icon. Stephen Chow of Kung-Fu Hustle fame has been mentioned as a potential lead. There will be a book as well.
  • Chinese billionaires say that their wealth does not buy them a sense of security. This is because in US dollars, British pounds, Euros, and Australian dollars they are not really billionaires.
  • A 25-year-old Chinese filmmaker has made a film about Ma Jiajue, the university student that killed four of his classmates and stuffed their corpses in a closet. The film will not be officially released, but the DVD has been making rounds in university campuses.
  • 360,000 chickens met their maker as China attempts to control the spread of avian flu. No human infections reported (yet).
  • A 39-year-old woman who was pronounced brain dead had her organs (kidneys, lungs, heart, corneas) given to seriously ill patient and ended up saving nine lives.
  • Is China backing the Maoist rebels in Nepal? Chinese officials have been making overtures to the rebels, and the government is now officially worried.
