If there are any foreigners out there reading this, take note of the fact that you can buy health insurance -- made just for you. The company offering it is AIU Insurance Company, which released this information on August 1. The most you can get covered for is 2 million US dollars. The coverage covers most everything: hospital stays, clinics, ambulances, personal assistance or care as well as dental stuff. AIU said they did this in response to foreigners' complaints that getting their insurance companies all the receipts and paperwork was a pain in the ass. We don't know how much it costs, but you can contact AIU and ask if you're so inclined.

And why some letters are in red? Which is the hidden message? I'm gping to contact Dan Brown and Gavin Menzies, probably they can discover something.
Is this a paid advertorial? There are other companies that do health insurance for foreigners...
Owen: i was not aware that there were other companies that did health insurance for foreigners, but that's probably b/c I didn't look too hard. It's not a paid advertorial, it's mostly a translation of an article that i saw in Chinese that i thought might be informative for some (clueless people like me, perhaps). Shanghaiist has not yet sunk to that level, I myself have the requisite lack of principles, but no one has yet bothered to pay me for it.
