I suppose if the victim had fought back, he would've been charged with disturbing social order or something. Also, since his only obvious sign of wealth was a watch, seems like someone was in the bar looking for "targets" and pointed him out when he left the bar.

The foreigners are being hunted, but the sky is still blue and the grass is still green.

where are the thiefs lurking? description of "changle lu by xinle lu" isn't very good, "shanghaiist" knows those streets are parallel eh
