I don't hate the Chinese actually, I'm just a bitter Uighur whos family was murdered by the Chinese soldiers. My father was serving in the Indian border guard back in the 1960s but was captured and beheaded by the Chinese soldiers. This is the reason for my anti-Chinese stance. You see I'm just bitter that's all and that's why I must find an excuse to hate all Chinese.

What benefit is it for anyone in the group to step out, especially the alleged chinese members? Their families would be found and lynched.

It doesn't matter who said it know, a dirty little china expat secret is out.

Yes, the truth, according to Chinabounder and his fans, consists of words such as "
"christians are generally evil, crazy, stupid and bigots"

There is no proven evidence that Chinabounder incident is a hoax. No one in the group has stepped out in public so far.

The truth hurts.

one expat's troll is a man's voice of reason and truth. This is a hobby, not a job. Taking care of your girl is a job.

nanheyangrouchuan,
You are such a troll in here, so when are you going to Tokyo or Seoul and "get a real job."

1. Only one person can actually use a computer keyboard at one time, but they can accept input from multiple people around them.

2. Having a few chinese co-conspirators in the mix ensures that the blog will contain just the right language to really push the buttons of other chinese. The writer(s) don't use alot of "lash-out" language typical of an exasperated expat, that language is almost cold, cutting and calculated.

3. The chinese participants knew the blog would initially be blocked but then released as part of the government's programs to build "patriotic spirit". And that is what happened.

4. commentors on danwai.org, some of whom are probably english teachers, are not in a good posititon to make an accurate analysis of others' writing. As if english teachers in china suddenly have some in-depth english language skills. Then they could get a real job in the Tokyo or Seoul school district.

according to some commenters on Danwai.org, a hoax is unlikely because

1. Style of the writing is very consistent. It probably comes from one person.

2. Blogspot is blocked until about 1 month ago. But the Sex and Shanghai blog started back in May. Why would anyone start investigating "online vigilante behavior" when he knew most Chinese people couldn't access the site?

Well, the prank has been played, now how will the chinese population take this good, hard look in the mirror? How will the Man spin this into "somebody is looking down on China and Chinese people!"? How will slovenly expats defend their way of life after having yet another ugly chapter exposed ("Loosing the New China" was the first and by far the best expose' about how things really happen in the world's next sooperpower).

What chapter will this incident be in the future book about the second boxer rebellion?

My guess it that professor Zhang is behind all this, maybe with some of his Phd students: a psychological experiment that got a bit out of hand. He wanted to get his 5 minutes of fame, but got a bit more than what he bargained for. Now he is trying to cover his ass. Can nobody trace IP addresses? Chinabounder posted a comment on Wang Jianshuo's blog last night, he should be able to find out where it was posted from.
