In the end, QBert made some crazy scratches, but with QBert's deep-dish hip-hop style with Bonbon's juggernaut "super-happy-fun" party style, there was some odd chemistry going on. On top of that QBert wasn't up long enough... Strangely enough, I was feeling the flow of the Jazzy Jeff show more because he can hit the general crowd, but QBert is for the real deal, hard-core, underground, true-to-life, eternal hip-hop heads.
MoJo also has some photos from the show. And you can watch another TangKing video here.
If you have photos from last night at Bon Bon (or anywhere else, really) upload them to Flickr and tag them "shanghaiist". They will automatically appear on the Shanghaiist Contribute page. Or you can just email pics to photos at shanghaiist.com. Same thing will happen.

Mojo is great, that Mc TangKing sounds crap....
Eric,
Thank you for your comment, but you are slamming my boy and I'm not down with that. If you listen to his words, you'll actually hear that the dude is dope.
This video, I will admit, does not live up to the skills Tangking really has. The man, in my opinion, is the only local rapper to have the balls to step up to the mic and do his thing. And he's only 19. You give him a few years, you'll be hearing a lot about this cat.
Eric, I personally invite you to the Back to the Roots show in September 23rd at Blue Ice Club to see for yourself.
