It's Official: Robbie Williams cancels Asian tour

robbie_williams_shanghao091.jpgTwo days ago, we told you this would happen. Now it looks like the news is officially official. From Shanghai Daily:

British pop star Robbie Williams has canceled all four concerts in Asia for his Close Encounters World Tour, including his Shanghai gig on November 4.

In Good Company, Williams' management firm, said in a statement that the singer had decided not to play Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore because "it became clear that the stress and exhaustion of the Asian tour coming shortly after the end of the European and South American dates would seriously impact his health."

"Throughout the summer Robbie Williams has performed in more than 40 shows around the world to more than 3 million people," the company said.

Ah, playing the old potential-death-from-overwork card. Not sure if that will go over too well in the world's factory.
