Shanghaiist Dinkum Drinks: Morning after the morning after

We're all for cheap Coopers beer -- its great stuff. But drinking it nonstop from 7 pm to 2 am on Friday makes you pretty much worthless on Saturday ... hence the lack of activity on this site yesterday. From what we recall, the Dinkum Drinks Happy Hour at Senses Wine Lounge was a rip snorter of a party (we promise, no more forced Australian slang after this post). Great weather, good music, lots of people ... hell, even the Australian rules football started making sense to us after a while (well, kind of). One thing we need to work on: Party photos. We're usually too intoxicated preoccupied to bother taking any. Don, from theshanghaieye, took a few (they start here), but we'd love to see some more. Also, we're happy to announce the date and location of the next Shanghaiist party. It's Saturday, October 28 at Shanghai Studio. And yes, it's a Halloween party (our favorite holiday). Costumes mandatory! Should be a great time. If you are not familiar with Shanghai Studio (which we wrote about before), it's a maze-like bar/gallery ... in an old bomb shelter. How cool is that? All the details of the party have yet to be ironed out, but it will definitely have discounted drinks, Halloween music (we need to figure out what that is) and a room totally dedicated to the showing of slasher horror flicks. Mark the date, start getting your costumes ready and stay tuned for more details.
