Chili, college football and charity

We've written about Bubba's Texas-Style Bar-B-Que & Saloon, college football and chili before. And now, all three combine in some kind of crazy mixed up Sunday afternoon stew. We are pressed for time -- we are a judge in today's Shanghai Chili Cook-off -- so we will do what we know best: copy and paste:

This is a huge weekend for Bubba's as the inaugural Shanghai Chili Cook-off Championship is slated to take place from noon to 4 p.m. (okay, until the beer is gone) on Sunday, November 12. Twenty teams are competing in this one-of-a-kind event to be honored with the coveted award of Best Chili in China! Public entry to the event is 100 rmb, which includes free samples of the chili entered into the contest, along with free draught beer all day long. You will also be able to cast your vote for People's Choice Best Chili Award.

Teams from The Naked Cow, 239, Freelance, City Diner, and Micasa are competing against some great home-schooled chefs. The entire day should be a lot of fun.

All proceeds from this event will go toward a great cause, Shanghai Sunrise, which is a non-profit organization aimed to foster education opportunities for underprivileged children. Please come support this worthy cause.

At the same time, we'll be hosting our popular Sunday Tailgate Party featuring top NCAA college football games from Saturday's match-ups in the U.S. This Sunday's line-up includes:

2 p.m. #13 Tennessee @ #11 Arkansas
6 p.m. #21 Oregon @ #7 USC
