LOL @ nan and good idea Chris!

I don't mind if people step out in their clean PJs to quickly buy a few extra boxes of confectionery, dried fruit and tea-boiled eggs during commercial breaks. What I do mind are the ones who meander about in their smelly sweaty stained PJs. Grandma's titties clung to synthetic PJs on a moist Summer's day is not a good look...

Oh, and the couples in his and her polka dotted PJs are worse than Korean honeymooners.

Morgan: A) this is way old news (read the story from september here: http://msnbc.msn.com/id/14915626/). Spoofing old stories just doesn't have the same punch as covering new ones. b) The post itself is weak. By that I mean it's neither funny nor insightful. Slamming SH, That's, and SH Daily might feel awesome, but it just makes you (and sadly, Shanghaiist) look petty and ridiculous. Editors,I'm concerned you're letting the quality of your blog slip. Maybe you should consider chilling out on the snarky "writers" with less to say than spit up.

I don't figure the donning of pajamas in public is an offensive, irritating and disrespectful act. Nor do I figure it a topic over which I would embroil myself in an etiquette clash with a Shanghainese. But I do have problems even allowing the cuffs of my jeans to drag on the streets of Shanghai. And the thought of wearing pajamas outdoors and then in bed is proper filthy-nasty. Although it is entirely possible that the pajama-people have multiple sets - for the streets and for the home.

Wearing pajamas in China isn't "Chinese" until you start rolling up the mid section of the top, going topless or rolling up the pant legs to thigh lengths and sit in an alley all day playing cards and spitting seed shells. Otherwise, pajamas themselves are harmless.
