Considering buying a 'Smart' car in China? Be smart

chinasmartcar111706.jpgFrom China Car Times, a blog all about the Chinese car industry:

A company in Shandong, whose CEO must push his gigantic balls around in a wheelbarrow, created and produced Smart replica’s in August but has since stopped due to complaints from Daimler-Chrysler. The Chinese made Huo Yun EV is actually completley different from the Smart in the fact that is an electric vehicle and not a gasoline powered engine. It has a top speed of 31mph (not much faster than those damned scooter/moped things that plague Chinese cities) and a range of 75 miles once its batteries are fully topped up. Im going to see if I can find one for sale, just for the novelty factor.A company in Shandong, whose CEO must push his gigantic balls around in a wheelbarrow, created and produced Smart replica’s in August but has since stopped due to complaints from Daimler-Chrysler.
