Get out your leisure suits: A new leisure center in town

leisuretimeclub121206.jpegLiving for one and a half years in the Zhongshan Park area, we've observed constant and significant improvements. New shopping malls, many good fashion shops, and the Starbucks-factor went from zero to five.

The latest novelty in the area is called Leisure Time Club. With a nice design on the outside, on the first floor the visitor is welcomed by a coffee shop and a bakery called Careme (which has not yet opened). The coffee shop is standard, but a little expensive (cappuccinos cost RMB 35).

Other entertainment options include a massage and spa. The spa is women-only and there's a large variety of massages—seems like it's worth a try. The next offering is, for us, a little exotic—the gaming rooms and hotel rooms. Gaming is definitely a big leisure time activity, and the hotel rooms are half-price if occupied for less than four hours.

Leisure Time Club, 1115 Dingxi Lu, Changning District (长宁区定西路1115号), Tel: 52383131.
