One could always just drive. Oh wait, I forgot that the roads are some of the deadliest in the world. About a year ago, I got into a car accident on the way to the airport in Yantai and then later THAT SAME DAY, got into another car accident in Qingdao. Fortunately, both were fender benders, BUT STILL. So the best advice regarding travel in China is to get good insurance and then not even think about it.

"Shouldn't it be more difficult to remove the tail of an airplane than, say, open a pack of airline peanuts? Why did it take a "security inspector" to notice that a sizeable chunk of the plane had fallen off?"

Because this is China. Incompetence upon incompetence. Why should they do proper safety checks, we're only talking about OTHER people's lives here.

I remember watching cargo all in shoebox-sixed parcels being unloaded from a plane at Pudong airport, lasting about 10 minutes. The dude unloading the hundred or so boxes did so by grabing 3 or 4 boxes and hurtling them all over the ground, mashing up half of the boxes in the process. Good job, fucko.

fu*k!!!
that's scary, these companies treat money as god and people's life as shit!

In CHINA, better takes the train, at least you've got some chance when the accidents happens.
