Vote on the design for Shanghai's school buses

shanghaischoolbus020207.jpgHonestly, we didn't even know Shanghia has school buses. But the city does, and they want them all to look the same. Go here to exercise your right to vote (on logos and color-schemes)! Voting ends on February 7.

From the Shanghai Daily we learn:

While the commission hopes to rid the city of school buses by building more schools over the next two years, it currently wants the buses to have a set color so other drivers will notice them easily and take care. School buses in China are not subject to special traffic rules, unlike many other countries.

The designs were drawn up by university students. And the Education Commission has a message to all the whiners out there who think they can do better:

Anyone not impressed by one of the designs can submit their own by e-mail.

So there.

How about painting "sweet pickles" on the sides? So what about designs for the shorter yellow buses? Or hasn't Shanghai reached that level yet?

not subject to special traffic rules...so they don't need to stop for red lights right? ;)

china is becoming funny. It is a Chinese School Bus?? Should it the BIG LETTER for school (in English) be replaced by BIG LETTER school IN CHINESE Characters?

Copy cat goes that far?

Where's the advertising supposed to go?
