In no way does it reflect Chinese culture or values... the anthem of the Republic of China, on the other hand, reflects Classical Chinese in both style and language.  The Republic of China is a sovereign nation that has existed since 1912.  Today, the Republic of China is Taiwan and Taiwan is the ROC. &lt;/p&gt;</description>

it is the correct anthem, because it is not tainted by politics, nowhere in the anthem does it mention the Communist Party or Communism
It is a song about the unity of the Chinese people and during the war was sung by KMT and Red Army soldiers alike
unlike the Taiwanese anthem, which is basically a KMT Party song
