Shanghai's HSBC golf tourney to be Tiger-less in 2007

tigerwoodsshanghai031607.jpgSo, will anyone go?

From PGA.com, we learn that the British Open will be Tiger Woods' last overseas trip this year:

His contract to play the Dunlop Phoenix in Japan has expired, and Woods does not plan to compete in November's HSBC Champions event in Shanghai, where he was runner-up the last two years. He also will not return to September's HSBC World Match Play Championship at Wentworth in England, where he lost in the first round to Shaun Micheel.

His reasons? Something about a pregnant wife and impending fatherhood. Where are your priorities, Tiger?

So, no Tiger in Shanghai. Kind of makes you rethink the RMB 2,000 tournament pass and the long haul out to Songjiang, doesn't it?
