Kylie's Coming: Aussie star to help launch Shanghai H&M

We have already told you that H&M will open in Shanghai on April 12 (in the old Benetton building at 651 Huaihai Zhong Lu), and now we have a little more to add to the story (emphasis on a little). This is the hard-hitting stuff you have come to expect from Shanghaiist — yes, Kylie Minogue is coming to Shanghai (earlier this month it was announced that Kylie is the new face — and body, we assume — of H&M swimwear). Sadly, that's about all the "news" we have to offer. The email from the PR firm handling the launch said she'd be appearing at an event for "special invited guests" on April 11. And that's about it.

H&M opened its first store in East Asia on March 10 in Hong Kong. A line in the press release promoting that launch caught our eye:

In April H&M opens two stores in Shanghai and during fall 2007 H&M will open three new stores in Hong Kong.

Anyone know where the second Shanghai store will be? Our money's not on Super Brand Mall. OK, looks like we were probably wrong — good thing we don't really bet on retail locations.

The official H&M website is localized for China and lists prices in RMB. Be warned, however: It took forever to load on our our Shanghai ADSL connection and the whole thing doesn't seem to be very well organized anyway. Perhaps it's their way of forcing us out of our apartment — their clothes had better fit.

Thanks to Shanghaiist's No. 1 Fan for the tip! We owe you a sandwich!

I saw some of their prices on a billboard that was as big as Kylie's ass. And you know what? They cost the same as in Europe! Are you kidding me?

The 2nd store is at SuperBrand Mall. There's 2 DownUnder Coffee shops there - 1st floor and 8th Floor. Maybe she can stop by for a cuppa coffee! You never know..

@ Jakob

Kylie has a big ass!?!?!? What the..?

Dan, why didn't you put up her Agent Provocateur ad instead?

screw u guys!type chinese. dumbass!

Jakob, you need to get an eye exam, a real job and a slap that stuns you out of your delirious and delusional state.
If you could see clearly, nothing about Kylie is "Big" other than her attitude, personality, talent and stardom (all of which you seem to be clearly devoid of)
If you had a real job, you would realize that the prices are the same as Europe, but they are still budget prices. Where else do you get an entire outfit for 30 euros or less ? Cheap - poo lu.. (Is that where you shop ?)

Oh and Mr. Fuckuall: This is a forum for people that are conversant and familiar with the English Language.
