After conducting a worldwide search for a bride, the world's tallest man, 56 year old Bao Xishun (2.36m tall), has finally found his other half in his native region of Inner Mongolia. He will marry 1.68m tall Xia Shujun who, as you can see in the picture on the right, comes up to just his elbow.
Last year, Bao hit world headlines when he used his 1.06m long arms to help save some dolphins who had fallen sick after swallowing some bits of plastic.
According to a report by Xinhua news agency, the couple decided to get married after just one month of courtship and will tie the knot this summer. It added that as they got to know each other, Xia "stopped noticing how tall Bao was and was moved instead by his thoughtfulness".
Shanghaiist's curiosity as to how Chinese basketballer Yao Ming compares to Bao in terms of height led us to Google him. We found a range of answers: People's Daily put Yao Ming at 2.25m tall while Wikipedia puts him at 2.29m tall, which makes him just 7cm shorter than the world's tallest man. Maybe this will come up t quiz night at your local bar. You never know.

Perfect size for a nice b job
Damn. As a basketball fan, I'm thinking he should have married someone really tall also.
He's got the perfect sized wife, he can keep her in place on his tool with one hand while he holds the remote with the other.
He's stolen my ay-i!
