Everyone is invited to head on down to the Bund (or near it) a week from Friday and enjoy:
- 30 percent off all of Henry's delicious beers brewed on the premises (that means a pint will be just 21 kuai).
- 30 percent off house wines.
- 30 percent off soft drinks.
All of these specials last five hours, from 7pm to midnight. Not a bad way to start off the weekend.
But wait, there's more:
Your friends at Shanghaiist will be controlling the music (and the movies on the projection screen). We had this brilliant idea of compiling a playlist filled with the greatest beer drinking songs of all time ... but now we're not really sure what that means. Got a request? Email it to tips@shanghaiist.com. As for the movies: We're trying track down a decent copy of Strange Brew. Any other suggestions? Let us know at tips@shanghaiist.com.
And, who knows — maybe you'll meet this guy.
FREE ENTRY, of course. See you soon.

How do these gigs usually turn out? I just moved to Shanghai 2 weeks ago and I've been dying to get out and consume my fair share of libations with my fellow expats!
I've had beers at Henry's before, all very well made. I don't think there's any other real brew-pub like it in town. And don't anyone say the word "Paulaner" or I'll slap you like the little girl that you are.
As for beer drinking music, how about:
Beck: Beercan
Cream: Strange Brew (obviously)
ZZ Top: Beer Drinkers And Hell Raisers
AC/DC: Have A Drink On Me
