Chinese Price Waterhouse Coopers auditors dance!

After watching this video from a Price Waterhouse Coopers employee event in Beijing last fall, we wondered if we had been misjudging Beijing men all these years. Were they really softies at heart?

So we did a little research and found this report on Xinhuanet. It's from March 2005. Interestingly, it rates the most charming men in China. Basically the no-doubt-based-on-scientific-fact conclusions were:

  • Harbin: Macho, but don't really make good husbands
  • Chongqing: Powerful, straightforward but tend to be chauvinistic (a bit like Harbin men)
  • Beijing: Stylish and talkative, they tend to be self-centered but they could also be very romantic
  • Chengdu: Not really the most passionate type, but definitely down to earth and have good qualities to be a husband
  • Hangzhou: The most delicate and well dressed men among all
  • Guangzhou: Probably the richest men in China, often wear designer labels, they are mostly charmingly "evil" ... remember the Chinese saying, women are often not intrigued by good men (男人不坏,女人不爱)
  • Xi'an: Persistent and devoted to love, lucky to be loved by a Xi'an man
  • Nanjing: Laid-back and content with life
  • Shanghai: Probably the most "metrosexual" men in China and have good husband qualities (such as cooking for the wife ...)
  • Shenzhen: Intelligent, smart and rich, money is probably their drive for life, they could love a woman but not necessary want to marry you

OK, we are not sure how much truth there is in this report, but a list of stereotypes is always a good way to start your weekend. Our personal experience dating Chinese men are limited, but we may try to get audited very, very soon.

I almost died laughing. The mind boggles... Where did the idea come from? Who thought up the moves? Where did they practise? The thought of a group of auditors shut away in the depths of PWC secretly busting moves in their office in between audits makes life feel so much brighter and more wonderful.

OMG...I haven't laughed this hard since I don't know when. Simply amazing.

were they inspired by Ethan Chandler, who sang at Bank of America and MBNA merger announcement last year?
