Xiu Xiu: The Sent Down Girl also had nudity, but I'm not sure if it qualifies as "full-frontal." It also might not qualify as "Chinese" given that it was not a mainland Chinese production although it was filmed in Tibet, directed by Joan Chen (who was born in China), and starred native Chinese actors.

I've seen an ad in a metro station (can't remember which one) for this movie, but it's since been taken down now. Strange..

All i can say is that though the film is rather well made, the full frontal nudity is so over rated. And so disppointing if I may add. Limp noodle sticking out of a hair ball. Yuck!

bravo to him for making it, though. Contempt for the usual little men trying to stop it. "please don't make a film of when we shot lots of kids".

at a glance, the outfits and fashion seem a bit anachronistic for a movie 1989, otherwise I guess it's best to reserve judgement 'til after seeing the movie...
